SELF-MASSAGE FOR CYCLISTS
Feb 18, 7:30-8:30pm
@Oak City Cycling Shop
Join Jane Thibodeau for a special class on myofascial release to reduce stress and tension, prevent injuries, and improve performance and enjoyment in cycling and other activities.
In this class, we will use therapeutic massage balls to address areas of chronic tension, including the legs/IT band, hips, shoulders and low-back. Students will be guided through self-massage techniques using various-sized therapy balls. Each provides a unique size and density to help target different areas of the body and allow for varying pressure to create a personalized, deep tissue massage to meet each student’s individual needs.
Students can expect to experience a deep release in muscle tension, leaving class with increased mobility, improved circulation throughout the body, and a deep sense of relaxation.
Note: All levels welcome - no experience necessary. Students should bring a yoga mat. All other props will be provided. Tight clothing is recommended for use with therapy balls.
When: Feb. 18, 7:30-8:30pm
Where: OCCP
Cost: $20/person
*Space is limited* - pre-register recommended.
