OVERVIEW

One of the top tourist destinations in the world, Peru is rich in culture, nature and food. Join us as we explore the country's diverse culinary roots through food tours and cooking classes, and by dining at some of the world's best restaurants. Spend four days in Lima learning about the food, culture and history of Peru. Then travel deep into the Andes to Cusco, former capital of the Inca Empire, known for its archaeological remains and Spanish colonial architecture. From Cusco, explore the Sacred Valley and infamous Machu Picchu, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

ITINERARY

Day 1 - Welcome Dinner

Arrive to the airport in Lima and enjoy private transportation to your hotel in Miraflores, arguably the nicest neighborhood in Lima. Take a few hours to rest or explore the neighborhood before meeting with the group to enjoy dinner at a world renowned restaurant. 

Day 2 - Food Tour

Spend a few hours on a guided tour learning about the history of Lima and Peru's booming gastronomy. You'll start the tour enjoying some of the country's best coffee; then explore a local market, learning about the food and tasting exotic fruits; finally, we'll finish at an exclusive restaurant to learn how to make traditional Peruvian ceviche and a classic Pisco Sour. 

Day 3 - Cooking Class

Take free time in the morning to explore the city of Lima on your own, then join the group in the afternoon for a private cooking class. During the class you'll learn how to make several traditional dishes and enjoy a full tasting of everything you prepare.

Day 4 - Travel to Cusco

Take a morning flight to Cusco, arriving in time to enjoy a walking tour of the city, followed by a chocolate making class.

Day 5 - Cooking Class

Take some time in the morning to rest or explore Cusco, then join the group for a private cooking class. We'll learn to cook Andean dishes and prepare typical cocktails.

Day 6 - Sacred Valley Tour

Enjoy a full-day tour of the Sacred Valley, an area of fertile farmland and Spanish colonial villages, which along with Cusco and Machu Picchu, formed the heart of the Inca Empire. We will spend the night in Aguas Calientes, just a short bus ride from Machu Picchu. 

Day 7 - Machu Picchu

Wake up early to explore Machu Picchu at sunrise with a private guide. Spend the morning taking in the ruins, as we learn about the Incas and this important archaeological site. Return to Cusco in the afternoon and enjoy a seven-course tasting menu at an exclusive restaurant.

Day 8 - Departure

Have breakfast at the hotel before checking out. No further activities planned for the day - continue traveling or return home.

A $500.00 non-refundable deposit is required by Jan 31, 2020 to secure your spot.


Payment Schedule:

A second non-refundable payment of $1500 is due May 31, 2020.

The remaining balance is due Sept. 1, 2020
