OVERVIEW
Join us for a nourishing adventure on the stunning shores of Lake Atitlan. This retreat provides time and space for soul-nurturing experiences in a beautiful retreat center. Wake up to views of the majestic lake and surrounding volcanoes. Indulge in a colorful menu of wholesome, local food. Immerse in Mayan culture through traditional ceremonies and excursions to nearby towns. Steep in self-exploration through intentional, therapeutic movement and body-based healing.
ITINERARY
January, 2024

Day 1
Enjoy private transportation from the airport to beautiful Villa Sumaya. Check-in, get settled and join the group for an Opening Circle and dinner.
Day 2
Start the day with a daily, therapeutic mobility practice. Delight in a nutritious breakfast, followed by orientation to Villa Sumaya. Take some free time after lunch to rest or explore your surroundings. Meet with the group for an afternoon practice/workshop, followed by dinner and free time.
Day 3
Start the day with our morning mobility practice and breakfast, followed by an excursion to San Juan. We'll visit a female-run co-op to learn about traditional textile weaving. Ample free time will be provided to explore the town before returning to Villa Sumaya for dinner.
Day 4
Begin the day with a morning mobility practice followed by breakfast. Travel by private boat to San Marcos and take some time to explore this charming town. Return to Villa Sumaya for a Shamanic Sound Healing Ceremony followed by dinner.
Day 5
Participate in a traditional Mayan Fire Ceremony led by a Mayan Shaman. Take some free time to reflect on the experience, then enjoy lunch and an afternoon practice/workshop. Ample free time is available in the afternoon for individual activities, including spa services, hiking, kayaking, and more.
Day 6
Morning mobility practice + breakfast will be followed by a Sacred Cacao Ceremony. Enjoy lunch + free time before meeting with the group for an afternoon practice/workshop.
Day 7
Enjoy our morning mobility practice followed by breakfast and free time. Join the group for lunch and a closing circle in the afternoon.
Day 8
Travel by private transportation back to the airport in Guatemala City.

What's included:
7 nights in single accommodations. All rooms include private bathroom, lake view, and inspiring outdoor space
3 meals per day. A vegetarian-based, eclectic blend of local and international cuisine created from Guatemala’s local fruit and vegetables (chicken and fish available at extra cost)

Safety Precautions
Group size will be capped at 8 participants.
All participants will be required to provide proof of a Covid test taken within 72 hours of arrival to Guatemala in order to enter the country.
Private transportation will be coordinated for the whole group to reduce risk of exposure. This will include one van and one boat, each with one driver.
The retreat center is taking the following precautions to reduce risk:
each guest will have single accommodations
meals will be served plated (as opposed to the usual buffet)
daily room cleanings will not be provided, but cleaning supplies will be made available to guests
more than likely we will be the only group at the retreat center
Excursions to other towns on the lake will take place so long as risk remains minimal.
